Myfanwy Collins was born in Montreal but moved to the Adirondack Mountains in New York when she was still a child. She has since lived in several cities and towns in New England. Myfanwy has worked as a waitress, a bartender, a nanny, a chambermaid, a clerk, a high school English teacher, a secretary, a ghost writer, and a traveling worker with the Cirque du Soleil. She has also worked in a couple of pioneering hi-tech companies, toiled as an underpaid non-profit worker, and done her time in newspaper marketing and record store promotions. Currently, she runs her own company.

Myfanwy's writing credits include The Kenyon Review (forthcoming), Cream City Review (forthcoming), AGNI, Swivel, The Boston Globe, and The Boston Phoenix. In addition, she received 3rd place in the Night Train Yates Fiction Contest 2005 and was named a Finalist in The Journal's 2006 William Allen Creative Nonfiction Contest.
