Darrin Gee, Founder of Darrin Gee's Spirit of Golf Academy, developed the Seven Principles of Golf™ after becoming frustrated with his own game. He focused on improving his mental and inner game skills and was amazed by the dramatic shift in his game and its effect on other areas of his life.

In 2000, Darrin quit his corporate job, moved to the Big Island of Hawaii and launched his golf academy. He has since received national recognition as a leader in the field of mental and inner golf, and has been credited for growing the game of golf. Darrin has personally worked with over 5,000 clients and more than 7,500 have attended his golf academy.

Darrin has appeared on The Golf Channel, Golf TV, Golf Hawaii, KHON2 Fox TV, Big Island TV, Talk Golf TV, ESPN Radio, Fox Sports Radio. He has been featured in publications including Travel & Leisure Golf, Fairways & Greens, Golf Today Japan, Hawaii Golf & Travel, Hawaii Golf Journal, Private Clubs, Preferred Way, and Hawaii Magazine.

Darrin received his MBA from Northwestern University and holds a BA in psychology from UCLA. He was Adjunct Professor in New Product Development at the Golden Gate University MBA program in San Francisco, California and a guest lecturer at the Manoa Innovation Center, a business incubator located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Darrin lives with his wife and two children on the Big Island of Hawaii.
